DVD группы Love

This DVD tells
the story of the legendary and enigmatic 60''s band Love and their
legendary frontman Arthur Lee. Their tale is one of the great untold
rock & roll stories. One of the first mixed race rock bands, the
dark vision of their music set them apart from the utopian ideals of the
"Flower Power" generation and the "Summer of Love" era. This features
extensive interviews with front man and main songwriter Arthur Lee, as
well as all surviving original band members - Johnny Echols, John
Fleckenstein, Alban ‘Snoopy’ Pfisterer, Michael Stuart, Elektra boss Jac
Holzman, producer Bruce Botnick, the The Doors’ John Densmore, and
Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream. There's also archive interview
footage of the late Bryan Maclean. It covers their journey from the
beginning, to the present day. From their origins at Dorsey High School
in South Los Angeles, to their disintegration in 1968, and their
continuing relevance to this day. "…and when people don’t know then
they begin to speculate and when they speculate, then there’s
embellishment and then you’re an enigma…” Bryan McLean once said. For
the North American release, a whole hour of bonus material has been
tacked on, including additional interview footage with Lee and Echols,
live performances and liner notes penned by Gillespie. Sadly the
interviews filmed with Arthur Lee were to be his last. He was diagnosed
with acute myeloid lukemia and died on August 3rd 2006. The world is
most certainly a duller place without him. All in all this a wonderful
document of a truly great band! GREAT!!!
