Тhis is a band of great musical friends

… I have to say that first of all, this is a band of great musical friends, and very happy family guys. This is so important to the creation of music, and I'm almost certain you'll notice this fact when you hear the new CD. I feel very honored to sing and write with this band, because it's all being done in an absolutely "Non- Egotistical" manner. Unfortunately, I've never had that experience until now, but fortunately (from my point of view), it's making the music so much better and easier to write. In a fun/happy/non-arrogant/non-dictatorial atmosphere, better music is bound to be created. We're all (each and every one of us in "AKA" are on the same plateau, and that leads to a more perfect creative playground to create great music). When you don't have to look over your shoulder every 10 seconds to see if your writing is not within the bounds of "anyone" who rejects your original ideas on a song, it keeps your mind open to greater ideas, and a freedom that only comes only with that sort of non-authoritarianism. It was very hard to imagine making music could be so fun, and so fantastic, all at the same time. I do realize that there are many bands out there who are just "doing it for the money", with so little regard for the loyal fans. "AKA" is far removed from that attitude. We create the music with ONLY the fans in mind, and soon (when the sound clips are on the MySpace page) I think you'll all realize that this is true. You, the fans, are the very essence of why we got together in the first place, and it is our fervent goal to make you happy with our creations. Personally, I can't wait to play some of the new songs live in concert. I find the new material is very close to genius, and bound for a long-lived future. Surely enough, we will play songs from "Yes and Toto", but as the new material takes over the set, I'm convinced nobody will miss the ''Yes/Toto" songs. Eventually (and I mean soon) the new songs will be as much a part of your soul as any song you've ever fallen in love with. We're so excited about getting our music on the page, but not until we have finished mixes. This could do more harm than good. We're all looking forward to adding sound bytes to the site, and sharing your thoughts about the music. We look forward to your comments, and the band is absolutely craving the idea of going out on the road to play live. We appreciate everyone's support, and it's "you" who we live and breathe for as we experience every musical moment. In the words of my good friend, Glenn Hughes,........."You Are The Music,.......We're Just The Band". Thanks for reading my rant, and come back often. You may get here just in time to hear what the band really is about. Welcome to our "AKA" world, and come back often.
