Gong to Play Trio of UK Dates

Having had a hugely-successful UK tour in 2009 to celebrate their 40th anniversary (along with a critically acclaimed album called 2032), the legendary prog-rock band, Gong, are set to return to the UK for a trio of concerts in Glasgow, Manchester and London.
Supported by Nik Turner's Space Ritual, the upcoming UK dates reunite the core of the group, including guitarists Daevid Allen and Steve Hillage along with poet Gilli Smyth, keyboardist Miquette Giraudy and rhythm section Chris Taylor (Drums) and Dave Sturt (Bass).
Alternately described as exhilarating, compelling and otherworldly, the band's 2009 effort was the first time Hillage has recorded with Allen, since 1974.
