Could it be any Clearer? No Kinks Reunion for Dave Davies
Dave Davies has been pretty clear in recent years about his lack of interest in participating in a reunion of the surviving original members of The Kinks, but people just can't seem to stop asking him about it.
For several years, band co-founder Ray Davies (Dave's brother) has been optimistically promoting the Kinks reunion idea, in spite of the fact that the Davies brothers have barely been on speaking terms for years.
The Daily Mail is the latest to pose the question to Dave, who responded somewhat lightheartedly that "you don't need to see silly old men in wheelchairs singing 'You Really Got Me'." But he went on to make it clear that, for him, his real problem is with his brother. "You've heard of vampires. Well, Ray sucks me dry of ideas, emotions and creativity. It's toxic for me to be with him. He's a control freak." Clear enough for you?
