The Doobie Brothers have never strayed far from their signature brew of blues/rock mixed with blue-eyed soul. It was this bar room boogie sound that earned them an avid following among California's Hell's Angels shortly after they formed in the early 70s. Now after a remarkable career four decades long, the Doobies are surprised to learn that they've scored a hit on the country music charts. They recently received a country-style welcome when they were introduced on stage at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry, often regarded as the shrine of country music, by C-and-W star Little Jimmy Dickens.
