Beatles Stereo 2009 Remasters Boxed Set

- Chinese Fake?

  After selling on eBay for 10 years, I thought I knew how to spot sellers of fake items.  In late December, I bought the newly released remastered Beatles box set from a "reputable" eBay seller with a 99.7% feedback rating and a respectable recent feedback history.  For $128, I thought I had gotten a great deal as the set was selling from $165 to $220 at other on-line sources.  The seller had just dropped her BIN price by 20% in the last few days before Christmas with FREE shipping!  I paid via Paypal and 3 days later the set arrives just in time for Christmas...

  The set was a gift for my husband - an avid Beatles fan. He had been researching the new Beatles boxed set on-line for a few days already and had read several reviews and discussions on the Chinese fakes that were all over eBay. We thought we bought from a legit seller.  When we opened the set, we saw the dreaded thin RED RIBBON pull tabs!
