The Turtles, Assotiation, Mark Lindsay Tour

The Turtles announced the lineup for its 26th Happy Together Tour, which will cross the country beginning in July. Joining them will be The Association, The Grass Roots, The Buckinghams and Mark Lindsay, former lead singer for Paul Revere & The Raiders. So far, only dates in New England have been announced but more are expected.
In addition to touring, Turtles lead singer Howard Kaylan, already a published writer, will pen his personal memoirs for Backbeat Books, according to AntiMusic. The singer, who, with his singing partner Mark Volman, also performs as Flo & Eddie. After The Turtles initially dissolved in 1970, Kaylan and Volman (and Turtles bassist Jim Pons) became members of Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention. The duo also backed up dozens of artists, including Mark Bolan and T.
Rex on the classic, "Get It On (Bang A Gong)" and Bruce Springsteen's "Hungry Heart."
When high harmonied backup singer Volman isn't touring with The Turtles, he serves as head of the Entertainment Studies department at Belmont University in Nashville, where he lives.
